Brera Holding entered ZFK Tiverija Strumica as well, opening up a chance to build a strong women’s football club

The company Brera Holdings, well known to the Macedonian public and owns 90% of FC AP Brera Strumica, became the first foreign investor in a women’s football club in our country. Recently, this company with its capital entered ZFK Tiverija Strumica, which previously had to be transformed as AD in accordance with Macedonian legislation. This means that in Brera’s family, we officially have a Women’s Football Club, building a few more steps to develop women’s football in Macedonia.

As part of Brera Strumica, Brera Tiverija will continue to build on the work that the president of Brera Strumica, Goran Pandev, did in Macedonia for the professionalization of sports in the country. The entry of Brera into ZFK Tiverija will also mean providing conditions for the growth and development of female soccer players, but it also opens up a chance to build a strong women’s soccer team.

“I’m incredibly excited about the big changes we’re making. We are taking a big step in our growth story and becoming part of the larger Brera family. Our partnership will encourage professional growth in our organization and provide excellent conditions for the development of our players. Our players will have more opportunities by belonging to Brera, which will motivate them to work harder. Becoming Brera Tiberias will bring us a connection to the global football ecosystem and provide players with the chance to play abroad. We will also have the chance to build a strong European team in Strumica, Macedonia, and to promote our city and country abroad,” said Alexandra Terziski, General Director of Brera Tiverija.

The formation of Brera Tiberia is an incredible milestone in the overall story of Brera Holdings and is a true testament to the company’s commitment to women’s sports.

“This will be the second women’s sports team in the portfolio of Brera Holdings after the acquisition of UYBA Volley. We couldn’t be more excited to know we have the champion investment in women’s sport globally,” commented Maria Xing, head of investment and corporate development at Brera Holdings.

Xing is an active supporter of women’s sports and inclusivity and is involved in several organizations such as Women in Football.
